With permits from the city, they blocked off a portion of Marcy street between Florence and Kirkwood. To keep the event sustainable, neighbors signed up beforehand to bring crock pots, tables, fire pits and their own chairs. Neighbors on the street shared their power for the crock pots. Together they set up folding tables with crock pots of hot chocolate and room for cookies. Almost everyone brought cookies to swap with their neighbors.
